No, but they offer flavor free food with every order.
The man/owner was rude to my son when he told him the soup tasted like black pepper. So he told my son to go back to eating Chinese food if he didn’t like the way his soup tasted. Giving a two because I love the rest of their food and have eaten here for many years. Sad that this experience will make me never go here again. He needs to treat his customers better.
Not the best variety or quality of Thai food I've ever had, but it was definitely really good. 100% worth the money and I would definitely go back. But I'm bummed they don't have summer rolls.
I highly recommend Thai Riverwalk Cafe! They serve delicious, authentic Thai food. They have a varied menu. Your lunch or dinner is prepared fresh, just for you...after you order.I was able to travel in Thailandfor 6 weeks, so, I know Thai food.Their menu features delicioussatay, spring rolls, Thai soups, curries, and many entrees. They are talented Thai chefs!
The Moo Kood Phrick Thai was amazing!
Delicious authentic Thai Food in the middle of nowhere! Who woulda thought! Had Panang Curry with Sticky Rice - one of the best.
The Red Curry is the best thing I’ve ever had!!!!
The staff wouldn't make any eye contact with us it was weird. The "sweet and sour" tofu was a watery sauce with barely cooked tofu or veggies. The curry was ok but again soggy tofu and watery, the basil fried rice should have been called chili fried rice as it was more of a spicy flavor than a basil flavor. Not recommended if you want crispy fried tofu.
Love stopping here when we load through or stay at Lava. The food is always 👌 🔥 😁
Prompt service, with great food that you have to wait for, but not too long. Enough to know that it is fresh, but quick enough that you aren't starving. Food was good, and surprised me in a good way.
Steak Lao and sticky rice are awesome
Open for take-out only, at this time, but still great food. Ate at the park pavillion near the restaurant. Doesn't get any better than this!
Excellently prepared Thai food at reasonable priced
Always a great meal and always great service. Year after year. An excellent place to eat.
It's in a converted gas station, it was very cold inside the restaurant. Service was quick. Food was good, but priced a little higher than I would have liked for the given building and atmosphere
I've heard a lot about this place and know several people who frequently make an hour+ round trip drive just to eat here. Finally had an opportunity to try it out this weekend. I've had a decent amount of Thai food in the region and I'd say the food was on point with some of the better Thai food I've had; I wasn't totally blown away, but the food was very good. I couldn't tell if the peas and some of the veggies in my green curry were fresh or previously frozen; they tasted fine, but felt very "frozen veggie" to me, though it could have just been in how they were prepared. The prices seemed plenty reasonable to me, the service was great, food was brought out quickly (they were quite busy), and the owner(?) was very friendly. Overall, I'd recommend Riverwalk Cafe and will definitely be back with the rest of my family in tow.
This 'was' our second meal here, had to have breakfast somewhere else because of the hours of operation, looking for property as close to this restaurant as possible, just saying. It creates an unrealistic expectation of other Thai places. Now what do we do?
Thai Food!!! On our visit to Lava Hot Springs, this place comes highly recommended from multiple people and it did not disappoint. Food is unbelievably great for what the exterior and interior lead you to believe. Good size portions and reasonable priced. The chicken soup with basil and lemon grass is wonderful!
So, FYI the GPS took us across town to a residence, but it's actually at the gas station-like place on the East side of town.I had the red curry with tofu, and at first bite thought that it might be a bit bland, but with each bite I fell more and more in love. I was also very pleased with the texture of the tofu. I liked it so much that I went back and had it again a couple nights later. My friend got the pad thai, and already really liked it.
Best Thai food around!
Their food is amazing! The best. The things we order most are the spring roles, chicken sate, yellow curry, won ton soup and the sticky rice is a MUST!!! My kids love it too! Delicious. The staff is small so your best bet is to go early for dinner. Peak hours will take you long to be seated just like with every hidden gem💚
We always eat here a couple of times during our stay in Lava. Food is always good
Food is traditional and awesome. Staff is friendly But make u feel kinda rushed to eat and go. Always love going to this place!
There is so much flavor in the dishes. I got the Phad Thai (stir-fry) and I loved it! Plus with the crunched peanuts it’s a great touch and also at a decent price.
Really great Thai food in such a small town, authentic flavors and dishes, a really great discovery.
We were really enjoy our meal here, until the people in our group noticed the lady preparing food in the kitchen licking her fingers.
This place has great food and friendly staff. We dined in one night, and did take out the second night. Reasonably priced, and great location.
Great. We make a point of comming here when ever we can.
Very highly recommended and worth the drive from wherever you are. They don't have a kids menue but the #18 fried chicken passed the kid test. It was a favorite from the entire family.
I liked the food. First time having Thai food.
I'm glad to stop there. Good food, good service friendly owner.
Riverwalk Cafe is a restaurant I have gone to for decades and it is still a favorite stop to eat after a good soak in Lava Hot Springs. They have one of the best Thai food menus and I eat a lot of Thai. For one, they have some of the best Tom Kha Gai soup I have ever tasted. It's worth stopping there to eat.
As others have mentioned, the service here is... interesting. Not friendly, not rude. Just indifferent. Food was OK. Curry was very watery. Noodle dish was excellent.
We came in on the Fourth of July. We had Pad Thai, cashew chicken, Ginger salad, sticky rice, yellow curry, pineapple fried rice, sweet and sour chicken. Everything was so good. They are helpful and our food came out timely. It's a family fun authentic Thai restaurant. Definitely the best food we had in Lava, it was also great Thai food!! Thanks for the yummy food!
Easily my favorite place to eat in Lava Hot Springs!
Authentic Thai. It's awesome! Anyone that leaves a bad review about the food probably hasn't been to Thailand.
Outstanding Thai food!! Best place to eat in Lava Hot Springs
This place was great. Even when they were a bit busy they got us a table immediately and had our food out quickly. The food was amazing! The red curry was delicious. Good prices and service. I highly recommend.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Didn't even acknowledge we existed. Hours said nine and finally we asked "are guys closed then?" at 830 and they said yeah sorry after they had walked by 4-5 times
This place sucks ..... The worst food in that town. The help had no gloves on.
Really good food and very reasonably priced. Even our picky eaters liked it!
Our food was good. My boyfriends dish was just alright. It was ketchup based so it was kinda weird. But mine was delicious!
The food was yummy and it's located at great spot.
The restaurant is clean, the servers were friendly, and the food was delicious! We look forward to eating here again the next time we’re in town.
Nice people, good food!
I love the food but not the prices.
From the outside this place doesn't look like much, utilizing an old gas station. However, the food is really good, the place is very clean, and it is well decorated. I have never had the pleasure of visiting Thailand, but someone who has told me this food was very authentic. The sweet and sour chicken was not breaded, it had a delightful sauce and a unique mix of vegetables which included cucumber. I didn't lick the plate, but the only thing I left was a little sauce.
Yummy! ... says it all.
Was here last year and it was way better. Pineapple fried rice was very cheaply made just rice with some mixed vegetable bag mix and a couple of cold shrimp and thin cut ham. Pad Thai wasn’t bad, masaman curry was good except potatoes we not cooked.
Favorite Thai. It all started here. Great people make great food.
Delicious, very authentic Thai food for a very good price! This was a surprisingly great find in Lava!
